Wedding Photography at Gosfield Hall
I loved this wedding. Not only did it ooze classic beauty, amazing light and a scrummy 3 course meal for moi. These were some of the nicest bunch of people i’ve had the pleasure of meeting at a wedding. I hadn’t met Holly and Paul before the day as the wedding was only planned two months previously and I have to take my hat off to them, as a recently engaged lass myself, planning a wedding in two months terrifies me.
A bit about the day…..
Holly and Paul were married on a wednesday in September at the exquisite Gosfield Hall in Essex. The house was built in 1545 by Sir John Wentworth, and hosted Royal visits by Queen Elizabeth I and her grand retinue throughout the middle of the 16th century. The grandeur of this beautiful venue was immense and the perfect location for a wedding.
Rain absolutely fell down all day long until about 6pm in the evening when the most amazing light peaked through the clouds. I don’t think I’ve ever had a more perfect golden hour for photos and my amazing Bride and Groom let me spend plenty of time with them making the most of the evening light.
Their story….
Their story began when they were in high school over 13 years ago. They dated for a while but like is sometimes does, life got in the way. They drifted apart and went on to have separate families of their own.
10 years past and fate stepped in. They met and fell in love all over again. Bringing together 2 families and 4 beautiful children. They didn’t waste time in adding a precious little girl of their own. Sometimes no amount of time and distance can come between two people who are meant to be.
